Help me to accept the changes that come with age. Let me focus on the benefits of growing older. Help me to stay in touch with my youth as I mature and accept more responsibility.
Help me to better take care of aging pets. Let me find patience and creativity when required by them. Help me to figure out their needs before they become too overwhelming.
Help me to not lose my patience with adolescents. Let me remember they are people and treat them as such. Help me to stay several steps ahead of them when they are difficult.
Help me to not grow too out of touch as I age. Let me stay in touch with who I am as I adapt. Help me to not be ridiculous in my attempts to stay relevant.
Let me never stop learning. Help me to find new ways to stimulate my brain as I grow older. Let me remain humble even when I'm surrounded by dullards.
Please let me live a life with minimal pain and confusion as I grow older. Allow me to age gracefully so that I can continue to take care of myself and not be forced to rely on others as I age. Also, please grant me the humility to rely on others when I need to, and be gracious to those that ask of me.
